JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt - Part Time DEPARTMENT: CRE/Aquatics SUPERVISOR: Aquatics Manager SALARY: $15.00 Per Hour

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

To assist in the maintenance of day-to-day operations of the Cheyenne Aquatics Center and all aquatic facilities. The mechanical facilities and responsibilities include but are not limited to; maintenance, grounds keeping, oversee and participate when needed in all work activities; and to perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall daily operation and maintenance of the aquatics mechanical systems including, but not limited to, Aquatic Center facilities, spray park, Johnson Pool, beach house, pump and chemical systems, HVAC, lighting systems, and fire protections systems.
  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives, implement approved policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to full time staff regarding maintenance contractors.
  • Responsible for the installation and maintenance of pool cleaning equipment.
  • Responsible for health and safety compliance of pool facilities, monthly equipment safety inspections of; slides, ladders, climbing wall, diving boards, and general facilities and grounds.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Perform various janitorial duties at facilities and on grounds.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Operation of hand and power tools.

Operation of pool vacuums, pumps, chemical pumps.

Principles and practices of public relations.

Modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment/software.

Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
