The Opportunity: Safety Engineer, Sr.
Curtiss-Wright EMD is searching for a Safety Engineer to support its Plant Management Team. This position must be aware of OSHA Regulations that applies to General Industry. The primary responsibility is to assist the facility to comply with OSHA regulations and be able to conduct hazard assessments, conduct Safety and Health training and write supporting documents for Safety and Health Programs.

Must be able to develop, conduct, and keep records for training that supports Safety and Health Program to comply with established programs.
Conduct risk assessment for the development of Lockout Tagout Procedures, Machine Guarding, JHAs, and Operational Guidance Documents to support and Safety and Health objectives.
Participates in Injury/Near Miss investigations with operations to develop corrective actions to prevent additional occurrences.
Must be able to track safety and health programs and initiatives for implementation and compliance. Must be able to provide information and progress reports so management can monitor safety and health objectives.
Organize industrial hygiene projects and programs that include defining scopes of work, interpreting survey data, and implementing professional recommendations to eliminate and control workplace exposures.
Be able to recognize nonconformance situations with safety and health programs and provide resolution to fix occurrences.
Bachelor's Degree required in Environmental, Health and Safety Management
5-8 years of experience in a Safety and Health position in General Industry
Strong oral and written communication skills and knowledge of MS office
Strong organizational and presentation skills
Ability to handle multiple opportunities and meet strict deadlines
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Must be US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
