As the General Laborer, you will perform a range of responsibilities including painting and inspecting parts, as well as setting up and operating cut-off saws. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail and experience in painting and machine operating. This is a 1st shift position, 6:00am-2:30pm. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform set up on cut-off saws, such as: determine type of material and the length of part to be cut from the blueprint, set stops, with hand tools, to cut length required, pull required material from racks and clean material, as needed, to remove grease, markings, etc. - Operate machine: locate material against stop, saw parts to required length and unload cut parts - Inspect parts using blueprints, calipers, hook rule scale, square, etc. hold tolerance of + or - .005" on parts cut to length - Complete quality checks as required. Perform part layout on aluminum plate using blueprint, tape measure, scribe, combination square, compass, protractor, etc. - Layout and scribe periphery of parts per blueprint. - Saw parts on bandsaw following scribe lines - Inspect with tape measure and calipers - Maintain hydraulic and coolant fluid levels in saws, change saw blades as needed, clean out filters, etc. - Follow 5S and keep work areas clean - Use daily dispatch report and blueprint to locate and collect parts - Prepare parts for paint by masking, plugging holes, etc. Determine requirements by reading part blueprints - Follow all required ISO procedures - Inspect parts visually for scratches, inks, rust, improper masking, etc. - Organize and load parts onto hooks or fixtures - Inspect parts visually after parts are out of dry off oven for rust, foreign substances, etc. Remove with scotch brite pad and solvent - Blow off any excess water present - Inspect parts visually after finish coat for runs, "fish eyes", paint coverage, etc. - Check air lines, washers, add additives as required, if problems exist - Remove parts from hooks, remove masking, protect parts with foam, paper, etc. and position parts onto carts, racks, etc. move parts to next work center - Other duties as needed
