Entomologist/Molecular Cell Biologist

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to establish functional assays with different eukaryotic cell types.

The project utilizing cell biology techniques will deepen the understanding of complexity of cell types, their biology and functions promoting trait development for the company.

The candidate will help in establishing protocols and assays with eukaryotic cells using cutting edge technology and imaging systems.

The successful applicant would also be able to receive training in basic wet lab skills to advanced molecular techniques. Thus, this position offers an exceptional career development opportunity for a prospective candidate with interest in Science.

Key tasks & responsibilities

• Design experiments, execute and troubleshoot for desired outcome

• Develop protocols and assays using eukaryotic cells

• Microdissection of tissues

• Culture and maintain different eukaryotic cell types

• Determine cell attributes using microscopy/FACS

• Study functional response through protein-protein interactions

• Proper documentation of experiments and maintain thorough records

• Ability to use small equipment following standard safety measures

• Insect rearing and handling
