Job Summary

The GMP Manager manages a staff for the cleaning of Critical Environments and ensures standard operating procedures are adhered to in multiple buildings. Functioning closely with employees and operational leaders to proactively ensure and sustain site-specific GMP cleaning, GMP Pest Control Program & GMP glass wash requirements.

This individual will need to have knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and other critical environment cleaning practices and procedures, principles of management and supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with customer and clients to promote best practices of the Critical Environment Cleaning program.

  • Perform audits to monitor cleaning compliance.

  • Collaborate with clients to develop cleaning solutions for controlled and regulated spaces.

  • Support customer audits & qualifications where necessary.

  • Supports RCA and CAPA responses related to GMP cleaning nonconformities.

  • Coordinate with Corporate QA team on cleaning environment.

  • Train new and existing associates on GMP cleaning SOP’s and cleanroom behaviors.

  • Draft Critical Environment Cleaning Related Monthly Business Review (MBR)/Quarterly Business Review (QBR) presentations and establish standardized client facing presentations.

  • Reviews and evaluates existing critical environmental cleaning programs, services, makes recommendations to operations team and/or client when requested and implements or guides implementation of new and/or modified systems and programs.

  • Has as a strong understanding of and works with computer and technical software logging systems, utilizing appropriately and accurately.

  • Ensures Critical Environment Cleaning program compliance with Company Health, Safety, Security, & Environmental protocols, and all other authorities having jurisdiction.

  • Prepares and maintains a variety of company records and reports as required.

  • Plans work and staffing schedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services are rendered.

  • Manages staff and oversees subcontractors.

  • Assists in the hiring process; interview, hiring and training of new associates.

  • Orients, develops, and supervises all supervisory/staff.

  • Conducts regular inspections and makes recommendations to the facility.

  • Communicates with staff, administration, and other departments.

  • Coordinates outside services through vendors and subcontractors as needed.

  • Submits ideas on continuous quality improvement.

  • Determines work procedures, prepares project work schedules, and expedites workflow.

  • Manages all assigned departments to be compliant to the account/client SLA or SOW.

  • Trains associates in methods of performing duties and assigns and coordinates work of associates to promote efficiency of operational excellence.
