Confidential Employer QA Assistant in Chester, Pennsylvania

Reviews X-Ray film and marks up castings to find indications from film for repair.

Creates "weld maps" showing excavation dimensions / weld size

Issues Return Material Authorizations (RMA) to customers

Performs root-cause analysis on customer-returned material and in-house rejections

Fills out rejection reports dispositioning repair/replace, customer credit and corrective action

Maintains various lohs as outlined in the company's quality system

Reviews and signs-off on various production documents

Responsible for maintaining weld-wire control and learning the company's welding program

Participate in a team-based process improvement system

Dimensional evaluation of pattern and castings relative to customer drawings

Participate as a member of a team in customer audits

Manage and administer an employee training schedule

Train under senior employee(s) on the VIR/VPAR submittal process.

Learns the company's Quality Manual and work-instructions

Required Skills/ Abilities:

Ability to split time between office work and work to be performed out on the production floor

Ability to lift 50 pounds at a minimum

ability to use various computer program including Microsoft Office programs, Word, Outlook....Etc...

Enjoys working in a production and quality-driven heavy manufacturing environment

Knowledge of foundry processes: molding, core making, melting, grinding... Etc...

Any experience working for a supplier to the U.S. Navy, Newport News, or Electric Boat is a plus.

Foundry experience preferred but not required
