NJ Employer Farm Market Cashier/Amusement Attendant in Chester, New Jersey

Alstede Farms, LLC dba Alstede Farms, Chester, NJ. Daily transportation will be provided from a central location to and from worksites in the following counties: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, Warren (NJ); Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, Richmond (NY).

16 Farm Market Cashier/Amusement Attendant positions available. Temporary, full-time position from 08/12/2024 through 10/27/2024, 7:00am-7:00pm, Monday-Sunday, 40 hrs/week. Schedule/shifts vary. Hours & start/end times vary. Weekends & holidays are required. Overtime is required, but varies. Workers will be paid Bi-Weekly at $16.55/hr, $24.83/hr OT. Raise/bonus at employer's discretion.

Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits for food items, plant materials, & alcoholic beverages. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers. Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, & tabulate bills. Greet customers, answer questions, provide information on procedures, policies, & resolve complaints. Sell tickets & other items to customers & process merchandise returns & exchanges. Maintain clean & orderly checkout areas & complete other general cleaning duties. Stock shelves & mark prices on shelves & items. Tend to amusement rides, collect & sell tickets, sell & serve refreshments.

Random drug testing during employment. All drug testing is performed without regard to an employee's citizenship or immigration status, and all testing is paid for by the company. Pre-hire background check required. All background checks are performed equally as to U.S. workers and H-2B workers, and all fees are paid for by the company.

Able to lift 50lbs. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours per day. No experience required, will train. Employer may make payroll deductions at employee's request. Employer facilitates voluntary housing arrangements upon worker request along with corresponding payroll deductions of $225/pay period.

A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for initial transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of employment for those traveling from such a distance they are not reasonably able to return to their residence each day.

Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.

Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. H2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, & other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
