A worldwide leader in the manufacture of energy-efficient air conditioning systems, Toshiba Carrier UK supply leading air conditioning systems and controls for a range of applications for a wide range of customers- from Large Offices, Healthcare facilities and public buildings right through to residential projects. Our product range encompasses VRF, Split Systems, Air to Air heat exchangers, Air curtains, Air to water heat pumps and controls.

Currently we are looking for an apprentice Technical Service Technician who is under direct supervision. Uses standard procedures to respond to basic customer inquiries related to installation, modification, upgrade, maintenance and repair of the company products or equipment purchased. Applies basic engineering approach supported by immediate manager and work colleagues.

What will you be doing?

  • Working under direct supervision to provide product and technical support.

  • Attending college 1 day per week.

  • Using standard procedures to respond to basic customer inquiries related to installation, modification, upgrade, maintenance and repair of the company products or equipment purchased.

  • Facilitating technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors, and company representatives.

  • Distributing technical documentation to improve the level of on-site maintenance and timely processing of product fault.

  • Coordinating technical service activities between customers, customer service representatives, sales representatives, and field staff.

What we’re looking for:

  • Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Maths, and ICT OR Engineering

  • Good written English

  • A keen interest in engineering and the HVAC industry

  • Good problem solver

  • Computer literate and know the basics on Microsoft Office

  • Good Communication skills – verbal, written and presentation\Self-motivated

  • Time management and organisational skills

  • Commitment to customer service excellence

  • Team Player
