Data Analyst - Program Readiness

We are actively seeking a Data Analyst to join our DTO team based in Chesapeake, VA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to our dynamic organization.

This position is onsite in Chesapeake, VA with the potential for a partial hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, assess, and analyze complex problems and evolving requirements.

• Create and refine high-quality deliverables independently with minimal technical guidance.

• Design dashboards, conduct data engineering/ETL utilizing tools such as Databricks, and apply agile scrum methodologies.

• Support agile software development for dashboard visualizations.

• Support user engagement; requirements sessions; create work estimation; design, load script coding, and test dashboards; and conduct database queries.

• Explore complex user challenges, understand technical constraints, effectively communicate solutions, and work collaboratively with functional and technical teams to implement solutions.

This is a full time, salaried, exempt position.

This position requires candidates to be United States citizens, exclusively due to the mandated security clearance requirements associated with our federal contract*

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with data visualization software and data load editor functionality.

• Familiarity with data engineering and data architecture.

• Understanding of ETL methodology and/or creating data models within Databricks environment to join multiple data sources into a model for accurate and efficient rendering of outputs. Understanding of data automation principles.

• Skillful with Databricks/Snowflake and strong understanding of SQL preferred. Exposure to Python and R preferred.

• Experience leading technical reviews with clients and stakeholders.

• Familiarity working with government systems (i.e., ADVANA Jupiter) preferred.

• Knowledge of US Navy Submarine Maintenance and Sustainment data preferred.

• Proven ability to employ research and analytical thinking.

• Proficiency in Data Science and Data Visualization tools (e.g., Qlik/Tableau).

• Experience in User Experience/Interface Design and Data & Systems Engineering (e.g., Databricks and Trifacta).

• Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and consistent follow-through.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including adept presentation abilities.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications

The incumbent of this position will be subject to a background investigation and will be required to maintain a Government granted security clearance.
