BECO Commercial Lease Administrator in Chesapeake, Virginia

We are actively seeking an experienced Commercial Lease Administrator. This position is full time, and the hours are Monday-Friday 8 AM – 5 PM; however, must have availability outside of regular business hours to assist with emergencies at the properties. This position is 100% in person. The corporate office is in Chesapeake, VA.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate with Commercial Property Manager.

  • Manage tenant accounts and relationships.

  • Handle tenant correspondence regarding necessary work, coordinating with maintenance and vendors as needed.

  • Respond to tenant needs, maintain positive relationships, and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.

  • Manage collection of delinquent rents.

  • Track and coordinate open lease issues.

  • Draft, review, and revise various real estate transactional agreements.

  • Input lease details into Yardi and maintain accurate billing and reporting.

  • Review lease abstracts and complete annual expense reconciliations.

  • Overall control of original lease documentation and maintenance of master lease files.

  • Facilitate routing and signature of lease documents.

  • Manage and negotiate annual service contracts.

  • Maintain leasing material and assist with various marketing efforts including social media and newsletters.

  • Fill in for Commercial Property Manager in their absence.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Three years of relevant experience.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Ability to make decisions within established procedures and policies.

  • Ability to handle sensitive issues effectively.

  • Proficiency in calculating intermediate figures such as percentages.
