Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a FOQA Analyst to join our team! This position will responsible for providing analysis of operational flight data as well as producing reports and presentations for our Flight Operation Quality Assurance (FOQA) Programs. This position is remote.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the Aviation Safety Technologies team. Duties include:

  • Responsible for providing analysis of operational flight data as well as producing reports and presentations for the Flight Operation Quality Assurance (FOQA) Program

  • Conducts daily workflow processes for the FOQA program

  • Assesses events and trends, identifies operational hazards, and validates corrective actions.

  • Develops new data analysis products and methodologies for data mining

  • Coordinates with the Program Manager for data analysis needs

  • Coordinates regularly with Owner Groups FOQA gate keepers

  • Coordinates with the Tech Ops Department regarding support of the FOQA program

  • Creates flight animations of actual events for use in incident and accident investigations

  • Assists with accident and incident investigations

  • Participates in FOQA Monitoring Team meetings

  • Participates and contributes to the Participant's SMS process

  • Develops, prepares, and presents the analysis of flight data

  • Represents UTRS at industry FOQA-related meetings

    What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or Statistics

  • Knowledge of aeronautical theory and aviation operations as applied to GA aircraft, such as:

  • The PA46 derivative (Malibu, Mirage, Meridian, M-Class, JetPROP, and Matrix) aircraft.

  • The Cirrus SR22

  • The Eclipse EA500

  • 5 years of related job experience

  • Experience working with data mining tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, Access, etc

  • Experience performing data analysis and building various related reports in MS Office products

  • Proficient in using MS Office software

  • Must be able to handle multiple projects with changing deadlines

  • Essential Programming knowledge/experience

  • Master's degree in a related field

  • Previous experience within a FOQA program

  • Familiarity with Aviation flight data software

  • Experience using CEFA animation software

  • ATP, CFI, CFII certifications

  • Must be US Citizen
