Boeing Technical Publication team is currently looking for Support Technical Manager - Technical Publication to join their team in Chennai, India. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) business organization.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration to implement Technical Publication process and guidelines and helping to enable the Technical Publication team to meet their organizational goals.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Manages employees performing technical or specialist activities within Product Support. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving

  • Acts as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the team. Capable of effectively triaging and de-escalating issues with impacted parties

  • Analyzes metrics and trends to influence team strategy and performance

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Leads projects and initiatives the process improvements

  • Demonstrates the Boeing Behaviors in a deliberate and observable way

  • Manages a group of roughly 25+ direct reports

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in aerospace technical publication as manager.

  • Knowledge of aircraft manuals and its technical publication end to end process

  • Must have an experience of handling team of 25+ employees with multiple skill.

  • Experience using or applying metrics to measure performance against projects to ensure high quality delivery

  • Knowledge of aerospace standards of like S1000D, iSpec 2200, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or) Equivalent preferablyin Mechanical/Aeronautics
