The Site IT Audio and Video (AV) Support Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV equipment and systems. They collaborate with event coordinators, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality AV support. Additionally, they manage a team of AV support personnel to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  1. Global Operational Support:

  2. Provide day-to-day operational support and trouble reports related to video conferencing, and audio-visual equipment.

  3. Ensure timely resolution of technical issues.

  4. Design and Implementation:

  5. Design and stage telepresence solutions using AV system components such as LCD/Plasma displays, DLP projection systems, HD camera systems, control systems, microphones, speakers, video/audio distribution amplifiers, scalars, and switchers.

  6. Contribute to the design and documentation of IT systems, including audio-visual systems, video conferencing, and other relevant technologies.

  7. Review work by third-party audio/video installation teams to ensure compliance with company standards.

  8. Equipment Setup and Maintenance:

  9. Prepare and set up AV hardware and software to meet the needs of our organization.

  10. Ensure proper functioning of audio and video equipment for recording sessions, live events, and post-productions.

  11. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.

  12. Conduct preventive maintenance visits to conference rooms, addressing VC connections, wires, peripherals, and speakers.

  13. Perform appearance checks to ensure AV systems are functioning optimally.

  14. Video Conferencing and Unified Communications:

  15. Identify and provide support for Unified Communications platforms, integrating them into AV systems and other IT tools as necessary.

  16. Audio and Video Production:

  17. Assign and manage a team of AV engineers to support for all the events and pre testing’s.

  18. Offer plans and advice for live audio and video events, including broadcasts, conferences, and presentations.

  19. Technical Expertise:

  20. Stay up-to-date with the latest audio and video technologies and techniques.

  21. Familiarity with different recording media, such as analog tape and digital multitrack recorders.

  22. Team Management:

  23. Oversee a team of AV support personnel.

  24. Coordinate customized AV support for trainings, events, and other activities.

  25. Documentation:

  26. Keep detailed logs of equipment maintenance.

  27. Create and maintain libraries for easy access.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Education, Technical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Design, or Information Systems.

  • Working Experience in CISCO, SHURE, Crestron, Extron, LG/Samsung OEMs.

  • Desired Skills: Dolby Surround, operational activities, engineering technology, audio-visual systems, and video.

  • Desired Experience: Extensive knowledge of engineering conference rooms, Webcasting, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), and Streaming Video systems.

  • Proficiency with audio mixing consoles, video cameras, microphones, and other relevant equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
