SAP Data Analyst - Customer Master and Variant Configuration
Analyst for SAP Customer Master and Variant Configuration, work on a small team to maintain and enhance customer master and VC as part of the IERP program within Ford. Responsible for master data supporting Vehicle Ordering and Invoicing.
Customer Master:
As data analyst ensure Data Request completion as responsible for validating and completing master data requests if needed and applying data governance principles.
Support the development of field names, definitions and formulas.
Create and update customer master data, customer hierarchy, customer assortment, business partners and set up of master data blocks on customers.
Create and maintain transactional master data fields influencing the order process.
Understand material master data fields influencing the order process.
Variant Configuration Analyst:
● Create, modify, and maintain characteristics, classes, classification hierarchies, configurable materials, configuration profiles, maximal bills of material, super routings, object dependencies (constraints, rules, selection conditions, procedures), variant tables, variant functions, variant pricing, material variants, material variant and sales order costing.
● Perform functional and integration testing of VC and SSC models.
● Partner with the customer’s product development, engineering, marketing, sales, production, and procurement personnel, to ensure that all product and system configuration requirements are addressed.
● Assist in the customer’s development and validation of documentation and training materials as required for new product and system models being released for the VC.
● Collaborate with the customer’s Enterprise IT team members, SAP platform resources, and third-party solution vendors, to ensure the continued reliability and scalability of the VC technical platforms.
● Ensure efficiency and quality for all VC related functions within the SAP system.
Overall:
The IT Data Analyst is responsible for system development, project management, and maintain product options for business users.
Develop detailed description of user needs, program functions, and the steps required to modify computer programs to support needs.
Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
Maintain existing product knowledge using tools provided within current systems; will also be expected to maintain a high level of proficiency to add knowledge.
Study exiting information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new processes to improve production or workflow as required.
Prepare workflow charts/diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs.
Experience:
● 4+ years’ experience in SAP VC modeling, or similar configuration modeling with complex products and/or systems.
● Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
● Deliver complex projects in a fast-paced, team environment.
● Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues.
● Analytical mindset and comfortable working with data.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills.
● Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to hit tight deadlines.
● Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
● Understand, validate, and rationalize business needs within the manufacturing operations environment.
