Job Description

As part of the Compute and Storage team, the IT Infrastructure Lead - India role will be responsible for being the technical "go to" person for all things Compute and Storage focused in India and the surrounding region. This will include technologies such as VMWare, Citrix application virtualization, load balancing using Citrix Net Scalers, and other datacenter technologies.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Technical Liaison between Infrastructure team, business, and other IT functions

  • Leading local Infrastructure team of professionals

  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and security threats to IT infrastructure

  • Working with external vendors and service providers to implement technology solutions.

  • Working with multiple teams (both in house and external) to help create new datacenter locations including build out and continued maintenance of said datacenter.

  • Participate in regional IT audits. Ensuring It infra meets all necessary compliance and regulatory requirements from audit.

  • Produce weekly/ monthly reports to executive management.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Citrix NetScaler devices.

  • Work with the application team to troubleshoot load balancing issues.

  • Implementation of the NetScaler Load Balancer function to support internal application load distribution.

  • Implementation of content switching/filtering policies within NetScalers.

  • Implementation of responder and redirection policies within NetScalers.

  • Leads design, performance-monitoring, tuning, scripting, upgrades and maintenance of production Citrix systems

  • Test, upgrade, and migrate virtual environments and components, while ensuring that change management and defined security protocols for all assigned systems are executed in accordance with

  • DHS policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate your ability to troubleshoot applications within a VMWare/ Citrix environment, identifying and resolving issues to maintain a high level of performance and user experience.

  • Contribute as a subject matter technical expert for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops administration and maintenance/operations/troubleshooting and all elements related the application environment

  • Stay abreast of related technology and recommend future system enhancements, improving troubleshooting and reducing the manual tasks

  • Possible travel required

  • Ability to lift 50lbs

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • BS degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or equivalent hands on experience.

  • Must have a solid foundation in Citrix Virtual Apps and Virtual desktops from initial requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and installation through all troubleshooting aspects.

  • Experience in designing, deploying and supporting large-scale Citrix environments using, Virtual

  • Applications, Virtual Desktops, Provisioning Server (PVS) deployments, and management of on-premise controllers on VMWare.

  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills required

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.

  • Proactive, self-learner who is motivated & results-oriented with a positive, team-player attitude.

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • Strong technical depth in Citrix virtual desktops, VMware, and Windows Operating Systems10+ years of experience in virtual desktop, performance engineering, systems engineering role

  • Supervisory experience is welcome

  • Project management experience is welcome (Lean Six Sigma - Yellow and above)

  • Detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks and heavy workloads efficiently

  • Experience in several of the following areas: Scripting, Powershell, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM,

  • Certificates (PKI), Application configurations

  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, 802.1q tagging, routing protocols preferred.

  • Technical IT certifications or experience with the related technologies preferred – Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA), Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator (CCAA), Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer(CCEE), Citrix Certified Integration Architect (CCIA), Azure, AWS, VMware VCP-DCV
