Logitech DevOps Engineer in Chennai, India

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for deploying the new compilation process from either the compilation server computer under Linux and for all individual personal computers from the team members (different eco-systems) by using a tool like Docker.

  • Have to understand current way of compiling firmware within logitech

  • Have to Evaluate the benefit for Logitech to use of Docker (containers) or equivalent tool in order to create one container for make and one container for C-Make

  • Have to Install Docker Host on our compilation server or equivalent tool to give access via Docker client to the same compilation environment (container) from different eco-systems (Linux, Mac, Windows)

  • Design, implement, and maintain GitHub Actions workflows ,runners to automate build, and test, processes, collaborating with development teams to define branching strategies and implement branch protection rules

  • Monitor and troubleshooting GitHub Actions workflows to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Have to understand how our linux compilation server is used within Logitech

  • Have to reproduce compilation procedure by calling C-make or/and make from C-lion IDE on a dedicated laptop

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • 6+ years’ experience in DevOps

  • 3+ years of experience in C-Make and make

  • 3+ year of experience in Docker, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Powershell

  • Experience in full lifecycle software development including releasing process

  • Service oriented attitude, with strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills

  • Ability to communicate and share its knowledge within a complete team of embedded software developers and testers

Education:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
