Job Description Summary

This role is for skilled operators working within a variety of roles focused on the manufacturing and assembly of Printed circuit boards for civil and military programmes.

The role will include a range of tasks and the successful applicant should demonstrate flexibility and work effectively as part of a larger multi-disciplined team

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Read and follow manufacturing plans

  • Ensure quality and health & safety adherence

  • Follow daily manufacturing metrics

  • Participate in lean activities and other initiatives

  • Support manufacturing delivery needs

  • Work in teams to achieve delivery targets

  • Complete manufacturing paperwork and job cards

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • General electronics and mechanical assembly work

  • Ability to recognise and identify components

  • Ability to understand technical drawings and instructions

  • Good concentration and attention to detail

  • Able to produce work of high quality

  • Dextrous and able to work on small products

  • A flexible and co-operative approach

  • Appreciation of health and safety practice in the workplace

  • Experience of self-directed work teams and teaming

  • Awareness of customer expectations and business requirements

  • Communication and time keeping skills.

  • Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude

Desired Characteristics:

  • Part 145/Part 21 or technical experience

  • IPC-A-610 or other recognised Electronic inspection body

  • Experienced with hand soldering to class 3 requirement

  • Experienced using SMT technology equipment

  • Experienced using AOI equipment

  • Ability to multi-task and deal with a varied workload

  • Outstanding integrity
