National Frozen Foods Corporation Electrical Maintenance Technician in Chehalis, Washington

*Electrical Maintenance Technician *

Position Description: Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

*Shift: * Primarily day shift. During the harvest season -- availability required for varying shifts, overtime (as requested), some holidays and weekends.

Pay: $31.80 - $35.90 per hour D.O.E.

Benefits: Permanent, fulltime position benefits include medical, dental, and vision on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.  Upon qualifying through hours worked, eligible for paid vacation, 10 paid holidays per calendar year, jury duty, bereavement leave, 401k + matching, Life and Long-term Disability Insurance. Employee Assistance Program and paid sick leave are available from the start of employment.

Position Responsibilities: Including, but not limited to:

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, diagnose and repair/replace faulty electronic components.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices. Replaces faulty electrical components of machine.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • GED or HS diploma
  • Minimum two years' experience as an electrical mechanic/maintenance or two years formal degree or certification in electrical maintenance
  • Strong electrical experience (PLC's a plus).

Physical Requirements

Strength- Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects, with a maximum weight of up to 100 pounds occasionally.
