Reports to: Department Manager

Location: Buffalo

Full-Time: Monday – Friday 11 a.m. through 7:30 p.m.

Non-Exempt: Compensation begins at $35,360 – $40,000 per year, depending on experience

What is a PSE Mail Processor Machine Operator

PSE Mail Processor Machine Operators are professionals who work in mailrooms and printing facilities to operate and maintain mail processing equipment.

What you will do

As a PSE Mail Processor Machine Operator, your responsibilities are setting up, operating, and troubleshooting mail sorting machines and other inserting equipment. You would calibrate the devices to handle different types of mail, such as bank statements, checks, and invoices. During the operation, you would regularly inspect the equipment to ensure there are no quality control issues or mechanical problems with the setup or lift, and you would move mail trays, boxes, and equipment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • A High school diploma or GED is preferred.

  • Must follow directions carefully and have strong attention to detail while multitasking.

  • Must have a strong sense of teamwork and accountability.

  • Must understand basic math, use, pallet jacks, and hand tools.

  • You must regularly stand, walk, crouch, bend, or kneel; use the repetitive motion of hands or wrists; fingers, grasp, handle or feel; reach with arms and hands.

  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
