Giroux's Poultry Farm, Inc. Processing Plant Maintenance Mechanic in Chazy, New York

Processing plant personnel will be responsible to work on designing, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all electronic components of processing equipment. This equipment includes but is not limited to egg packers, automated egg packers, egg grading machine, conveyors, and robots. Experience with hands-on mechanical and especially electrical knowledge preferred, however, the right candidate will be trained onsite. Basic welding and pneumatics a plus. Under minimum supervision, the maintenance personnel must be able to troubleshoot various automated production equipment. Responsibilities and Duties: -Troubleshoot and repair equipment, motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, electronic measuring sensors (RTDs, Humidity, level, and pressure), temperature instrumentation, packaging machines and conveyors, electronic scales, programmable logic controllers, etc. -Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions of the following equipment: Egg Grader; Egg conveyor system/washer/dryers -Review and modify existing equipment as required to meet safety, quality, and production requirements -Program, troubleshoot and repair/replace sensors, scanners, vision systems, motors, conveyer belts and equipment -Control system upgrades of existing equipment and integration of new/existing equipment. -Preventative maintenance on packing line equipment -Looking over machines to identify worn/wearing parts - making sure we have proper parts to complete repair/assist with ordering parts. -Examples-small air cylinders, air solenoids, various plastic parts, chains, bearings, photo sensors, electric motors, belt repair. -Assuring the machine is assembled correctly and ready to operate/clean area and tools. -Critical timing - jogging or running machines after repair to assure proper egg handling. -Hitachi Inkjet Printers - execute simple cleaning procedure to clean printer heads and printer equipment. -Defrosting cooler coils, spraying cleaning chemicals, rinsing with water -Electric Hand Jacks - water batteries, replace wheels, bearing, shafts. Qualifications and Skills: Electrical and mechanical background preferred.
