Job Description

The Chattanooga plant is a leading global supplier of catalysts and other products and services to petroleum refiners; catalysts for the manufacture of plastics; silica-based engineered and specialty materials for a wide-range of industrial applications; specialty chemicals, additives and materials for commercial and residential construction; and, sealants and coatings for food packaging. The site is currently accepting resumes for a Warehouse Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily supervision of the warehouse and shipping functions of the Chattanooga plant. In addition, has the responsibility for the coordination of all traffic functions relating to shipping and receiving of products and materials.

  • Supervises ( 4) hourly employees, plans and allocates manpower and responsible for employee discipline

  • Responsible for safety training and maintaining safe work practices in accordance with established plant guidelines

  • Responsible for the administration of the Company’s environmental policies and procedures

  • Via phone & SAP, determines FCC requirements and schedules shipments of rare earth chloride solution for intra-company stock transfers

  • Coordinates the transfer of raw materials to production and finished goods to the warehouse, and the shipment of finished goods with the Division sales department. Checks incoming raw materials against specifications

  • Reviews with corporate traffic regarding freight rates on volume movements and approves freight bills on bulk raw materials and special items

  • Supervises the scheduling of leased tank cars and numerous vendor tank trucks for Rare Earth Chloride

  • Interfaces with division traffic department as required

  • Administers the plant labor agreement

  • Responsible for plant janitorial and laundry operations

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Four (4) years supervisory experience in warehouse or material movement area

  • Certified in DOT, IATA and IMDG or have the knowledge, skills and ability to be certified

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential

  • Must be PC literate including MS Word and Excel

  • Well organized, detail oriented and enjoys being a problem solver
