POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for developing and improving primary, secondary and tertiary packaging for Sanofi U.S. Consumer Healthcare products.

This role requires candidates to be on-site five days a week, with the potential to move to a hybrid schedule.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of material specifications for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. Scope covers a range of cosmetic, drug, and NDA products.

  • Support development and approval of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging artwork (focus on labels, cartons, and shippers).

  • Interact with packaging suppliers to optimize package designs.

  • Develop pallet patterns for new product introductions or for updates to existing finished goods.

  • Ongoing review of packaging materials and suppliers for opportunities to reduce packaging cost and improve efficiency.

  • Maintain package dimensional data for Master Product List.

  • Coordinate line trials to confirm packaging materials are compatible with packaging equipment at multiple production plants.

  • Provide package engineering technical support to plant operations.

  • Support company packaging sustainability initiatives.

  • Attend continuous improvement meetings with production plant

  • Perform ISTA or ATSM distribution testing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, in packaging science or engineering field preferred

Experience

  • Four (4)+ years' experience in Package Design

  • Four (4)+ years' experience in a GMP Manufacturing environment

  • Lab experience performing ISTA or ASTM distribution testing

  • Familiar with TOPS or CAPE palletization software

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP ( enterprise resource planning ) system

  • Experience with packaging graphics development
