Overview

The Chattanooga Heart Institute offers the most comprehensive cardiac care available in this region. Founded in 1976 we now have six offices in Tennessee and one in Georgia. Our practice is made up of 29 board-certified cardiologists and three cardiothoracic surgeons. We merged with CHI Memorial Health Care System in 2011 which is part of CommonSpirit Health. Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting physicians and nurses in providing quality patient care.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collect appropriate data and perform testing to prepare patient for physician visit.

  • Maintain patient flow through the clinic.

  • Pull patient voicemails and process messages to the nurses as appropriate.

  • Complete patient refills as requested by both patient and pharmacy, ensuring appropriate labs are ordered as needed and protocol is followed.

  • Assist nurses with patient messages as necessary.

  • Assist nurses with reviewing physician blue book as necessary.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification

  • AAMA-CMA, AMT-RMA, NCCT-NCMA, or NHA-CCMA

Qualifications:

  • Medical office experience preferred.

Pay Range

$16.26 - $22.36 /hour
