Responsibilities

  • Assist lawyers and paralegals with various tasks as required.

  • Support attorney effectiveness by managing information, interacting with clients, and handling inquiries.

  • Welcome guests and clients in person and over the phone, directing queries appropriately.

  • Produce and manage documents, including transcription, formatting, inputting, editing, and retrieval of text, data, and graphics for case coordination.

  • Review, verify, and route correspondence, reports, and legal documents.

  • Draft, revise, and edit letters and other written materials, and gather and analyze information as needed.

  • Coordinate client meetings and attorney schedules, including arranging couriers, court reporters, and preparing courtroom visuals.

  • Manage attorney billing by documenting billable time, expenses, preparing invoices, and tracking payments.

  • Maintain attorney calendars, scheduling conferences, teleconferences, and court appearances, while monitoring filing requirements and evidence-gathering.

  • Represent attorneys by communicating on their behalf, following up on delegated tasks, and ensuring timely actions.

  • Maintain client confidentiality and uphold confidentiality of client and attorney information.

  • Develop and maintain filing, retrieval, and archive systems.

  • Record meeting discussions, maintain transcripts, and documents, and manage evidence.
