The Position

We are currently looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk employee to join our fast-paced Operations team at our Dytran facility in Chatsworth, CA.

Primary Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Your daily work may include, but is not limited to:

  • Prepares the daily shipping agenda.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Receives and logs all incoming product.
  • Distributes incoming materials to proper departments.
  • Prepares all shipping documentation for outgoing freight.
  • Packages all incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Uses online UPS and Federal Express shipping system .
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Makes local deliveries and pickups using a company vehicle.
  • Maintains log of company vehicle and maintenance schedule.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum of a high school education or GED and one-year related experience in shipping and receiving.
