Description

Position Title: Director of Facilities

Reports to: CFO/Business Manager

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • To oversee the physical operation of the entire school including all school owned facilities

  • To supervise and coordinate work activities of departmental personnel including overseeing the maintenance and cleaning programs.

  • To develop, maintain and report all required environment, health and maintenance standards as required by law and to work with the administration to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and laws as they relate to the school.

  • To act as a liaison between contractors, engineers, and material and equipment suppliers including arranging bids and developing specifications for all outside contractual work.

  • To manage programs for maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment using preventative and corrective maintenance methods

  • To maintain computerized records of property upkeep/maintenance on all school facilities

  • To perform regular inspections of grounds and common arrears for sanitation, order, safety, and maintaining a presentable environment

  • To prepare and manage required departmental budgets

  • To serve as staff support for the Facilities Committee of the Board of Trustees

  • To perform other duties as assigned by the President

  • To support the school and its leadership

Qualifications:

  • Required

  • Five (5) years management and maintenance experience, including leadership experience

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in a facilities management and maintenance role; preferably in a school setting

  • Preferred

  • Ten (10) or more years of facilities management and maintenance experience, including leadership experience
