Admissions Director
The Director of Clinical Admissions establishes a strong business presence with target audiences, including but not limited to: Acute Care providers, physicians, and others as identified within assigned geographic area to build awareness for the Nursing and Rehabilitation and its services.
He/she matches capabilities to patient needs and facilitates patient flow from Acute Care providers into the facility to meet or exceed census. He/she also makes patient acceptance and placement decisions on behalf of the Nursing and Rehabilitation and communicates decisions to referral sources based on published performance standards.
Duties Include: (but not limited to)
Promote the Nursing and Rehabilitation, both internally and externally. Serve as a business resource and initiate referral relationships where possible.
Maintains a current target list of potential new referral sources
Complete pre-admission assessment accurately either personally or by telephone to gather clinical and financial information
Aggressively seek out potential clients and facilitate referrals into the Nursing Center.
Respond to referrals based on published productivity/performance standards.
Performs any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
Current NYS RN licensure preferred
Five to seven years of recent clinical experience.
Preferred case management experience
Must read, write and speak the English language
Experience in business/development preferred.
Prior experience in utilization review or discharge planning preferred.
