Admissions Director

The Director of Clinical Admissions establishes a strong business presence with target audiences, including but not limited to: Acute Care providers, physicians, and others as identified within assigned geographic area to build awareness for the Nursing and Rehabilitation and its services.

He/she matches capabilities to patient needs and facilitates patient flow from Acute Care providers into the facility to meet or exceed census. He/she also makes patient acceptance and placement decisions on behalf of the Nursing and Rehabilitation and communicates decisions to referral sources based on published performance standards.

Duties Include: (but not limited to)

  • Promote the Nursing and Rehabilitation, both internally and externally. Serve as a business resource and initiate referral relationships where possible.

  • Maintains a current target list of potential new referral sources

  • Complete pre-admission assessment accurately either personally or by telephone to gather clinical and financial information

  • Aggressively seek out potential clients and facilitate referrals into the Nursing Center.

  • Respond to referrals based on published productivity/performance standards.

  • Performs any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Current NYS RN licensure preferred

  • Five to seven years of recent clinical experience.

  • Preferred case management experience

  • Must read, write and speak the English language

  • Experience in business/development preferred.

  • Prior experience in utilization review or discharge planning preferred.

The salary for this position is competitive and negotiable based on experience. A full benefits package is also being offered.
