ManpowerGroup Maintenance Mechanic in Chatham, New York

Our client which is a leader in manufacturing consumer goods is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Team supporting the upkeep and preventative maintenance of production machinery. The ideal candidate will have mechanical skills in consumer production machinery, troubleshooting skills and the ability to read blueprints/schematics which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Mechanic)

Location: Hudson, NY

Pay Range: $30.00/hr

What’s the Job?

  • Verifying that machine maintenance and the daily task assigned are completed in a timely manner.

  • Responsible to perform methodical troubleshooting, repair work and preventative maintenance on all production packaging, labeling machinery, converting equipment. Equipment includes mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Will request technical assistance if beyond expertise of possessed skills, may include outside repair service if required.

  • Perform and complete preventive maintenance, following operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions & engineering specification, troubleshooting malfunctions.

  • Possess the ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic prints, diagrams, and ladder logic programs.

  • Anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies. Places and expedites orders.

What’s Needed?

  • High School Diploma, Electro-Mechanical Technical Training a must. B.S. College degree a plus.

  • Five (5) years minimum experience working with production equipment in an industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical environment.

  • Three (3) + years of related experience with industrial packaging and labeling machines. Rotary die cutting machines a plus.

  • Ability to lift objects weighing 25 to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to read technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards.
