CBI Operations, LLC Wedding & Events Manager in Chatham, Massachusetts
We invite you to join the high-energy team at Chatham Bars Inn, a Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Hotel on Cape Cod, Massachusetts with 25 oceanfront acres, 217 rooms and suites, five restaurants, boating, a private beach, full-service spa, 8-acre farm and endless recreation activities. Open year round, the Inn is a five-minute stroll from Chatham?s charming Main Street and within a short drive of all Cape Cod has to offer. The Event Manager will be responsible for but not limited to the overall operations of catering and conference events such as weddings, meetings, parties, reunions, etc.; This includes the planning, preparation and execution of the events. Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage outlet and catering operations including foods, beverages, service techniques, and guest interaction. Requirements: Must have planning experience. Wedding experience preferred. Excellent people skills and outgoing personality Team player Must be able to multi-task Strong attention to detail and organization Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs Ability to move up to 150 lbs., with wheeled assistance Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule Must be a service minded individual with a positive attitude who truly enjoys helping others Must be quick on their feet and adept at handling stressful situations seamlessly Strong computer skills Must be able to handle criticism Ability to use various office equipment, including, but not limited to, computers, calculators, photocopiers and fax machines
