CBI Operations, LLC Flower Farmer - Full & Part Time in Chatham, Massachusetts

We invite you to join the high-energy team at Chatham Bars Inn Farm, an 8-acre working farm in Brewster, MA which produces well over 100,000 pounds and 125 varieties of vegetables each year, most of which is used by the culinary team at Chatham Bars Inn. The Farm features innovative farming techniques such as hydroponics and Slovenian beekeeping and also offers a seasonal Farm Stand open to the public and weekly farm-to-table outdoor dinners. The farm is a part of Chatham Bars Inn, a Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Hotel on Cape Cod, Massachusetts with 25 oceanfront acres, 217 rooms and suites, five restaurants, boating, a private beach, full-service spa and endless recreation activities. Candidates passionate about cut-flower production and one-year farming experience strongly preferred. This position will provide the right candidate with a hands-on opportunity to experience and master nearly every aspect of cut-flower production. Full Time and Part Time Seasonal Positions Available. The flower field/harvest crew will be responsible for but not limited to: Harvest flower crops using proper harvest techniques and post-harvest treatments to fill daily orders Participate in a wide range of fieldwork including (but not limited to): bed preparation, fertilizing, transplanting, weeding/mulching, irrigation, and pest/disease management Operate tractors and other equipment as needed, based on experience Requirements: One season farming experience strongly preferred Hardworking, energetic, and self-motivated individuals Works quickly and efficiently High attention to detail and quality control Can in all weather conditions while remaining a positive attitude and morale Willing and open to accepting feedback Can work both individually and/or in a team environment quickly and with a sense of urgency Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks (i.e. bending, kneeling, standing) and must be able to lift items up to 50lbs. Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation Must be punctual and reliable.
