Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC Payroll & Accounting Associate in Chaska, Minnesota

As a Payroll and Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for managing the accurate and timely processing of payroll, invoices, and payments in accordance with corporate policies and regulations. This role requires a high level of confidentiality and precision in handling sensitive financial information. This is a fully onsite position in Chaska, MN. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Process and review bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  2. Maintain meticulous records of payroll and benefits data, guaranteeing confidentiality and accuracy in all transactions.
  3. Administer various benefit-related payroll transactions, including 401k, RRSP, and HSA contributions, with a focus on detail and compliance.
  4. Enter journal entries for payroll and expenses, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial reporting.
  5. Provide comprehensive payroll reports, metrics, and management reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
  6. Handle Workman's Compensation audit requests and premium payments to maintain compliance with insurance requirements.
  7. Process Records of Employment (ROE) in Canada, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory guidelines.
  8. Record and verify invoices from three different vendors, ensuring accurate accounting and timely payments.
  9. Manage the process for year-end audits, ensuring all financial records are prepared and presented accurately and in a timely manner.
  10. Oversee the processing of year-end US W-2s and Canadian T4s, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate degree or higher diploma.
  2. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable.
  4. Experience with Simply Accounting an asset.
  5. Competent in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
