University of Virginia Open Rank Professor of Pathology in Charlottesville, Virginia

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Virginia invites applications for a full time Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology certified Pathologist in surgical pathology. This is an open rank, tenure optional position. The successful candidate will participate in hybrid subspecialty sign-out. Applicants must have subspecialty fellowship training or experiential expertise (preferred but not required areas include GU, GI, breast pathology and cytopathology). The position includes teaching of medical students, residents and fellows and scholarly activity is expected. Additionally, the qualified candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work as a team member.

Education: Candidates must have a MD degree or equivalent

Certification: Qualified candidates must be board-certified or eligible for certification in Anatomic Pathology.

Licensure: Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted licensure in the State of Virginia.
