University of Virginia Lead Ambulatory Pharmacist: Emily Couric Cancer Center Retail Pharmacy in Charlottesville, Virginia

Pharmacist ensures the safe effective and financially responsible use of medications by providing optimal drug product selection dosage regimen design effective administration and drug therapy monitoring services in the Medical Center.

  • Enters prescribing clinician orders into the appropriate computer application.

  • Processes prescribing clinician’s orders (prescriptions).

  • Oversees pharmacy technicians’ work.

  • Provides drug information to patients caregivers and providers.

  • Performs pharmacy functions according to Federal State local Health System and Department statutes regulations and published guideline documents.

  • Oversees daily pharmacy operations and enhances the quality and delivery of care.

  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $54.58 - $87.33 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree Experience: No experience required. Licensure: Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License. BLS required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing and traveling for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals
