Purpose: Within the Enterprise Compute Services reporting team, this position is responsible for developing/maintaining the group’s IT4IT reporting. This position will:

  • Develop, publish, maintain and administrate Tableau/Business Objects dashboards, charts, reports, etc.

  • Invent creative and innovative ways to answer key business questions by leveraging existing data assets or creating new ones

  • Identify opportunities and develops reporting to create process efficiencies, generate cost savings and strengthen internal controls

  • Apply Business Process Knowledge / Data Analytics to Develop / Recommend / Communicate Insights to Support Business Decisions / Objectives

  • Discover / Anticipate Potential Issues / Opportunities where Data can be Leveraged to Address Needs, etc.

  • Gather Requirements / Ask Inquisitive Questions / Translate Business Needs in Order to Build / Design Reporting Solutions - Metric Management / Dashboards / Enterprise Performance Management

  • Apply Data Visualization / Descriptive / Summary Statistical Techniques for Discovery / Insights - Data Exploration / Ad-Hoc Queries / Analysis, etc.

  • Interpret Analytical Results / Identify Trends and Issues (Forecasting) / Develop Solutions to Support Business Objectives, etc.

  • Apply Data Aggregation / Description Analysis / Data Presentation Techniques and Tools to Communicate Complex Findings / Solution Recommendations

  • Clearly / Concisely Communicate Complex Information to Variety of Audiences, etc.

  • Design and implement proof of concept solutions and create advanced Tableau visualizations using action filters, user filters, advanced navigation techniques and Level-of-Detail (LOD) expressions.

  • Advanced Tableau development including Tableau data model creation, customize dimensions, advanced calculations, and interactive dashboards.

  • Performance tuning of Tableau Server dashboards to minimize the data and rendering refresh cycles and optimize the end user experience

  • Develop a strong understanding of the business, strategic direction, organizational structure and overall business goals

  • Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience

  • 5 + years of Tableau Dashboard development experience

  • 5+ years of Business Intelligence experience using SAP Business Objects Suite of tools

  • 5+ years of Tableau experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • 3+ years of MS SQL server experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology

  • Knowledge and understanding of database management, reporting, and analysis functions

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
