Description

If you're looking to build your skills and career as a Senior Staff Accountant, Robert Half currently has a permanent opportunity at an innovative, growing company for you to check out in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every day

  • Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Engage in various department-wide initiatives

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

  • Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

  • Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

    Requirements - Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

  • Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus

  • Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Knowledge of NetSuite

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ledger Reconciliations

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Credit Card Reconciliation experience

  • Bank reconciliations experience

  • Adeptness in account reconciliation

  • Cash reconciliations experience

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

  • Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

  • 1+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

  • Skilled with ERP systems

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
