Job Description

Job Summary:

Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products. Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage capital expansion projects from budgeting to installation to production

  • Collect and analyze data to drive improvements in critical metrics related to safety and equipment availability

  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) teams and implement effective Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs)

  • Implement and manage programs such as condition monitoring and predictive/preventative maintenance

  • Provide economically rational spare parts plans for tools

  • Create and maintain documentation such as preventative and reactive maintenance procedures

  • Collaborate with process engineers to drive yield and throughput improvements

  • Manage facility-related activities and troubleshooting efforts

  • Plan and supervise visits by contractors and equipment vendors as needed

Job Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of related experience in a manufacturing setting

  • Experience with equipment availability metrics and structured problem-solving methods in a manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of autonomy and as part of a team, taking ownership of tasks and projects

  • Willingness to work in non-cleanroom and cleanroom type environments

  • Ability to train and support technicians within the department

  • Proficiency with MS Office product suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years in semiconductor manufacturing or equipment engineering role

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

  • Technical knowledge of PLCs

  • Technical knowledge of an array of semiconductor manufacturing equipment

  • Experience with leading a team of maintenance technicians
