Our Payrailz team is seeking a full stack developer that has a passion with front end development to build a leading edge, modernized smart digital payment solutions. This developer will participate in the technical design and implementation of new products or enhancements and is responsible for all phases of the development cycle. This is a collaborative team of forward, innovative thinkers that solve complex and engaging problems for the user. They approach problems with an open mind, and there is no room for bias when working through solutions. This position is part of an agile development team, and will provide support for front-end development. This position is a high impact position that will advocate for standards relating to the front-end development and how they’re incorporated into our products.

This position will work remotely from the United States but must be able to come into one of our offices in Louisville KY, SW MO, Allen TX, Charlotte NC, or Birmingham AL as needed. You must be able to work hours that are in the Eastern Time Zone.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Designs, develops, and tests .Net C#, React JS, MySQL stored procedures and functions based on business requirements.

  • Defines or refines standards for the design, development, and testing of backend processes.

  • Collaborates with developers, operations, and management to provide technical direction in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and to resolve or diagnose production defects.

  • Develops and tests batch process applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.

  • Creates required test plan and technical documentation.

  • Conducts unit testing and integration and regression testing for functionalities.

  • Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards. Contributes to the definition and documentation of standards. Contributes to defining and improving department processes.

  • Researches problems and develops solutions to the problems. Takes part in daily stand-up meetings in an Agile development methodology.

  • Collaborates and coordinates with other agile teams to deliver a fully functional system.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 4 years of technical experience in software development in .Net/C#, relational database stored procedures/functions experiences.

  • Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, Node).

  • Proficient in JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Understanding of how component-driven development works.

  • Experience working with APIs and their relationship with the development of the user interface.

  • Experience in stored procedures development and SQL performance tuning.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Experience working in or possess working knowledge of the Payments Industry or other related Financial technology industry.

  • Experience working with JavaScript testing frameworks such Jest and/or Cypress

  • Experience developing Rest APIs.

  • Experience with mobile application integration/development: swift and android

  • Experience developing accessible sites (ADA or WCAG).

  • Experience with user-centered design through collaboration with designers early in the software development process.

  • Experience building and debugging single page applications (SPA’s) using various JavaScript frameworks.

  • Experience with Git for source code management and version control.

  • Superior knowledge of the following areas:

  1. Technical knowledge in software development agile methodologies

  2. Domain and industry knowledge

  3. All phases of the development cycle including concept, technical design, prototype, code development, testing, release to QA and implementation

  • Able to demonstrate in-depth experience in the following skills:
  1. Research, analysis and problem resolution

  2. Communication and interpersonal

  3. Organizational and time management

  • Able to independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks while remaining flexible to changing requirements.
