Sharp Electronics Corporation Shop Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina

Overview

This Shop Technician position is responsible for setting up and installing SBS equipment in house and at client locations in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Picking, assembly, programming, and quality assurance of equipment as assigned to meet delivery timelines

  • Responsible for all paperwork and record keeping associated with equipment set-up and proper maintenance of inventory used

  • Responsible for assisting field technicians with parts and service manual questions

  • Maintain the shop set-up schedule to timeline driven requirements

  • Responsible for overall cleanliness and inventory control of set-up area

  • Perform level 1 service calls involving preventative maintenance

  • Assist Service with Customer In-Shop troubleshooting and repairs

  • Must successfully complete Sharp equipment pre-testing and training; stay current on training requirements as needed

  • Understands and properly performs all mechanical and electronic adjustments on equipment as outlined in Manuals and Bulletins and stay current

  • Responsible for projects as assigned by management and communicating status of equipment

  • Must maintain excellent customer service skills

  • Assist in the warehouse and with deliveries as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education

  • Valid driver’s license and clean record

  • Individual should be physically fit and be able to lift object weighing up to 50lbs on occasion as well as walk and remain standing for long periods of time

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment a plus

  • Ability to drive 15’ foot box truck

  • Forklift experience a plus

  • Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $35,900 - $69,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
