Carrier Shipping Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina

Role Responsibilities:

  • Operate Mi-Jack, overhead crane, forklift or yard switcher to load units on trailers

  • Support with forklift operation as needed

  • Support Mi-Jack operation as ground support as needed, spot and shackle

  • Maintain an organized workspace, clean area and pick up debris

Role Purpose:

  • Support shipping operation as needed

  • Help coordinate truck traffic as needed for efficient loading

  • Other support activities as indicated by supervisor

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, squatting

  • Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions

  • Ability to operate a forklift

  • Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions

  • Safety, customer and goal oriented

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Solid mechanical background required.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to read procedural documents and safety materials.

  • Prior experience operating crane/hoist equipment is strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
