THE ROLE : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MMF Manager, to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for Making Material Flow tools to improve supply chain operations including Demand Planning, Purchasing, Warehousing, Shipping and Receiving, Manufacturing Line Operations, Materials delivery to the point of use, and inventory. This role will collaborate with cross functional teams and key suppliers. This is a hybrid role with a global scope, preferably out of a Xylem manufacturing/office location.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Developed Training Materials for Xylem Inc. material flow processes (Plan for Every Part (PFEP), Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP), Raw material supermarket establishment, WIP and Finished Goods market establishment, Machine scheduling including change-over optimization, Developing timed material delivery routes, Intercompany supply process, Supplier scheduling and Kanban processes)
Facilitate, Train and Lead Material Flow Strategy Deployment and Transformation Activity
Drive change management activities related to material flow and velocity within and between sites (create transition plans from current to future state and execute)
Lead / Develop Material Flow Transformation Planning for targeted improvement areas
Work with the sites on Xylem Inc.. 8-Step Root Cause Countermeasure activity related to material on-time delivery and inventory
Work with sites on the intercompany supply processes between sites
Work with Corporate Logistics and Sourcing teams to optimize material flow from suppliers and site to site, Coordinate benchmarking and external analysis (Subject Matter Experts, Workshops, company visits, etc.).
Coordinate activities with local process owners for all tasks relevant to effective material management, finished goods, stock and/or inventory, production loading and scheduling, backlog and lead time management for focus sites.
Provides technical expertise for procurement and assures long term availability of materials
Coordinate activities with local process owners to ensure the continuity of supply of raw materials while making every effort to reduce the cost of finished goods.
Continuously evaluate system efficiency possibilities (computer, bar-coding, EDI, etc.), and lead significant improvement activities.
Communicate / coordinate best practices for planning and materials functions across business units – create and implement standardized work for defined processes.
Obtain advice and technical information on materials, ensure quality, schedule delivery orders, establish the appropriate amounts required, adjust inventory levels,
Interface with manufacturing, engineering, central planning, and the purchasing group.
Follow up with purchasing group ensuring good buyer-materials relationship, generate cost reduction ideas and manage shortages/stock outs and efficiency improvements.
Establishes product line inventory service level objectives consistent with manufacturing plan
Participates in critical/strategic materials planning process
Coordinate activities with local process owners to build and lead the materials transformation plan
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Materials, or Industrial Engineering
At least 5-7 years materials management or production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with supply chain management implementation.
Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods along with the flexibility and adaptability to accept, support, and deploy new processes in a changing business environment.
Skill to create and implement plans aligned with the division’s strategic vision.
Proven ability to communicate written and orally, collaborate and interact professionally with all levels in an organization
Demonstrated analytical skills to support problem solving and decision making
Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution including the ability to address difference of opinions or facts and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution
Demonstrated project management skills to develop plans, meet deadlines, coordinate work groups and handle multiple demands
Ability to travel, maximum 75%.
Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions
Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.

Salary range:
$91,500.00 - $164,500.00
