About the job:

A Project Engineer on our Life Sciences Team is responsible for the planning and execution of multiple projects and resources and potentially serving as a subject matter expert on commissioning and consulting projects within a variety of manufacturing environments.

As a Project Engineer, you will gain top notch experience supporting projects in the manufacturing and laboratory environments while interfacing with exciting clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device, microelectronics, semi-conductor and medical device industries.  You will be leading projects that ensure reliable processes, promote patient safety and ensure that people live and work in facilities that operate as they are intended. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for managing, scheduling and budgeting assigned projects.

  • Inform other project engineers and senior project engineers regarding staff scheduling.

  • As appropriate, provide troubleshooting and technical support on a variety of capital projects related to the construction and renovation of manufacturing and laboratory spaces, new / upgraded utility and infrastructure systems, and controls related projects. 

  • Serve as an Owner’s Project Manager on new construction and upgrades within the life sciences and related industries.

  • Executing and managing commissioning tasks within time budgeted.

  • Maintain relations with existing clients on assigned projects.

  • Support the engineering manager in the training and mentoring of team members on proper documentation development, field procedures and equipment usage.

    REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or construction/maintenance related experience with a 2 year engineering technology degree

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in or supporting the construction or upgrade of manufacturing or related spaces.

  • EIT or CEM certification preferred

  • Understanding of FDA regulated industries is desirable.

  • Hands-on-experience of HVAC and/or electrical systems

  • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting at least 30 pounds and climbing ladders

  • Ability to travel to and from various jobsites (within organizations multiple offices a plus!)
