Job Description

Our client is looking for a Lead Scrum Master/ Agile Coach to join their team. The Lead Scrum Master/Agile Coach is crucial in spearheading the development and embedding agile ways of working & methodologies across the clients engineering & BI organization. The AGILE Coach/Scrum Master lead will be a dedicated advocate for Agile principles and methodologies, with a proven ability to drive collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within data engineering & BI teams. This role will play a critical part in promoting Agile excellence, enhancing agility, and fostering a culture of innovation. This role will be accountable for setting up and guiding multiple agile teams across the Engineering & BI organization. Additional responsibilities are shown below:

 Agile Transformation Leadership: Lead a Global Data Engineering & BI agile transformation efforts by defining agile principles, practices, and frameworks tailored to the specific needs of the organization. Develop and implement strategies to drive agile adoption and maturity across development teams and departments

 Agile Work Coaching: Provide leadership and team-level coaching for roadmap and backlog management, prioritization, and work decomposition. Leverages continuous improvement process to provide guidance for evolving Agile model and approach

 Project Coordination: Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize and manage the product backlog. Ensure that the teams have a clear understanding of the product vision and goals. Remove impediments and obstacles that may hinder team productivity and progress.

 Community Engagement and Knowledge Sharing: Actively engage with Agile practitioners, enthusiasts, and stakeholders to foster a vibrant and inclusive Agile community. Organize regular forums, events, meetups, and knowledge sharing sessions to promote collaboration, networking, and the exchange of best practices among agile teams

 Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with the Data Engineering & BI leadership, and other stakeholders to align Agile initiatives with business goals, priorities, and strategic objectives. Ensure transparency and foster strong relationships between IT and business teams.

 Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement: Champion agile principles and practices across the organization and promote buy-in and support from stakeholders at all levels. Partner with senior leadership, functional leads, and cross-functional teams to drive cultural change and overcome resistance to agile adoption

 Scalability and Enterprise Agility: Collaborate with enterprise agile coaches and leaders to ensure alignment of agile practices and initiatives with broader organizational goals and objectives. Develop strategies to scale agile practices across the enterprise and drive alignment and consistency in agile implementation

 Agile Coaching and Training: Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to Agile teams, Scrum Masters, Data Engineering & BI leadership, and other stakeholders to enhance their understanding and application of Agile methodologies

 Metrics and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of Agile practices within the organization. Generate reports and insights to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to all relevant parties

Skills and Requirements

10+ years of experience in Agile methodologies and transformation

 8+ years of experience working specifically as an Agile Coach or Scrum Master

 MUST hold Certified Scrum Master OR SAFe Agilist certification

 Deep understanding of Scrum and SAFe (agile scaling)

 Experience with Agile collaboration tools, specifically Jira, Confluence, and Trello

 Strong leadership and facilitation skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to embrace Agile principles and practices

 People management experience required, with a proven track record of development and coaching

 Bachelors degree in marketing, Business, Communication, Engineering, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience) required Experience working in the data engineering space

 Experience in the retail industry, with knowledge of retail operations

 Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and their data-related services.

 Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Kanban, Lean) and Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., LeSS)

 Experience with marketing automation platforms null
