Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Growth Strategy Consultant in Investment Products as part of Wealth & Investment Management. In this role, you will be acting as a player coach by taking inbound calls from financial advisors assisting with their employer sponsored retirement plan and developing Retirement Product Consultants. In this role, you will:
Function as a player-coach to the Retirement Product Consultants in lower roles within the team.
Collaborate with management on team and individual performance.
Serve as a subject matter expert on employer retirement plans and IRAs and apply that knowledge in coaching on calls with the consultants, in collaboration with Legal, Compliance and Escalations, among other key stakeholders across WIM and other lines of business.
Lead and/or participate in complex initiatives for business development including those that are cross-functional with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale planning initiatives and growth opportunities for retirement products.
Review, analyze, and research complex, multi-faceted business challenges within Business Growth Strategy functional area which require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
Identify, assess, and opine on comparative competitor information to provide insight into product development, including collateral and communication to overall enhance retirement product effectiveness and efficiency of coverage in marketplaces to meet the unique needs of customers.
Ensure adherence with compliance regulations and policies within Business Growth Strategy functional area
Make decisions on complex and multi-faceted development and growth strategies for designated markets requiring solid understanding of Business Growth Strategy functional area, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead team to meet business objectives, deliverables and drive new initiatives
Strategically collaborate and consult with Business Growth Strategy mid-level to senior managers, colleagues, stakeholders, bankers, brokers, business leaders, and community leaders, including internal or external customers, to resolve issues, achieve growth in market share, and meet customer needs; serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years of Retirement Product Consultant experience
FINRA Series 7 and/or Series 63 (or industry equivalent)
Retirement plan industry designation or willing to obtain a designation upon hire such as: Certified Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS) or Qualified Plan Fiduciary Consultant (QPFC) or equivalent Qualified 401k Administrator (QKA)
Demonstrated experience coaching or mentoring peers
Working knowledge on retirement plan product solutions across multiple strategic relationships with the ability to apply that knowledge with employees and client opportunities with the financial advisors or willing to obtain this knowledge
Provide consulting services to financial advisors on retirement products with more complex situations
Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
