General Summary:

A Day Warehouse Forklift Driver performs a critical role in our logistics process by unloading product shipments from suppliers, staging product, replenishing product within the warehouse and loading trucks when necessary. This individual also ensures proper reporting, product allocation, and compliance with all Food Safety/SQF policies and procedures. In addition, we all work to maintain cleanliness in the warehouse.

What Youll Do:

Operate all equipment in a safe manner; this includes forklift, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks/ride on and vehicles. Perform pre-use (pre-trip) inspection of all equipment prior to use and report any issues/damage.

Obey all safety standards for the warehouse.

Utilize proper lifting techniques loading/unloading/delivering/receiving product.

Unload trucks properly, place product in allocated warehouse slots, replenish product as needed, load trucks when required.

Ensure any frozen product is placed in freezer at time of receipt.

Maintain accuracy of product ordered to product loaded/unloaded.

Ensure product rotation in a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method.

Make sure of pallet integrity that all pallets are wrapped, not broken and are stable.

What Youll Bring to the Table:

Insightful, meaningful, relevant customer service skills and experience.

Experience operating a forklift and pallet jacks (Raymond, Crown, Yale) safely.

Experience utilizing an RF scanner to maintain product and warehouse integrity.

Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, and do so safely.

A clean background and ability to pass pre-employment drug testing.

Ability to perform these functions in a cold warehouse environment.

Flexibility in your schedule to include weekends.

What Youll Be Doing:

Perform logistical tasks of unloading and loading trucks, ensuring product is placed in the warehouse in the approprate slot, pull orders when needed and replenishing product as needed, using the FIFO method.

Provide safe operation of equipment to include vehicle/equipment as well as loading/unloading equipment.

Ensure proper reporting is accurate and complete on a daily basis.

Operate in an efficient manner to meet and exceed minimum pallets per hour processed.

Maintain compliance with all Food Safety/SQF policies and procedures in place.
