Hiring an Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist (EHS) to work with a CDMO focusing on conscious science for sustainable ingredients used within personal care and household products!

Location: Charlotte, NC

Schedule: M-F Normal business hours

Pay: $75K-$80K DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.

  • Conduct regular EHS risk assessments and audits.

  • Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures to minimize accidents and injuries.

  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.

  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained in safety protocols.

  • Lead investigations into EHS incidents and near-misses.

  • Identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive action plans to prevent recurrence.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHS documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Biology, Chemistry or a related field.

  • EHS experience within Chemical manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ISO 14001 and 45001

  • Experience with Process Safety Management

  • Experience with Wastewater Treatment
