This position will report to the ETO Engineering Design Manager for Commercial Chillers and be responsible for mechanical design activities related to the new Data Center cooling program. This role will receive direction from the ETO Systems Engineer and Sr. ETO Design Lead. The primary function will be to create and/or modify mechanical designs, models, and drawings to support a successful release of our new Engineer To Order (ETO) Water-Cooled Data Center projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fully experienced with CREO 4 (minimum of 5 years with CREO)

  • Fully experienced with PDM Windchill – Version 11

  • Solid understanding and experience with drafting standards and procedures

  • Experienced with the bill of material structure and databases – Windchill BOM preferred

  • Experience with change management, Engineering Change Requests, and Engineering Change Notices

  • Proven experience with complex 3D parametric modeling

  • Experience with sheet metal design and manufacturing processes

  • Experience with piping design and manufacturing processes

  • Experienced with Top Level Assemblies and Large Assembly Management

  • Some experience with electrical components, subassemblies, and component function a plus

  • General understanding and exposure to electro-mechanical control systems and components

  • Has in-depth knowledge of the design role and engineering discipline

  • Responsible for the quality and accuracy of work and performance in meeting hardline schedule deliverables

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering with 7+ years of experience in Mechanical Design OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Design

  • 2+ years of experience with CREO

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related technical discipline with 5+ years of experience

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Demonstrated creativity in product design and preferred experience with Product Development

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing fabrication and assembly methods

  • Excellent problem solving and advanced analytical skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated detail orientation and superior follow-up and follow-through skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
