Job Summary:

Are you analytical and interested in a career in Compensation? Compass has an exciting opportunity for an Analyst to support the Compensation team by producing detailed analyses for various compensation activities and programs (i.e., salary planning, merit increases, wage and compression analysis, salary range development, variable pay, market research, etc). Participate in various compensation-related projects, which involve revision, development and/or redesign of existing compensation programs. Accountabilities may also include implementing and administering compensation programs, responding to various compensation queries, providing ad-hoc reports for leadership, and daily troubleshooting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs, builds, manipulates and produces detailed analyses and reports as requested; draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on the analyses.

  • Collects and analyzes market data, maintains salary survey data warehouse, and supports annual salary survey participation.

  • Participates in the analysis, development, design, communication and implementation of compensation programs including but not limited to; salary structures, annual year-end process, job evaluation, job title hierarchies, and base and variable pay information.

  • Serve as primary contact for third party relocation vendor and partner to identify risks and opportunities within the program.

  • Prepares written job descriptions, conducts benchmarking to analyze survey data and compares data with internal pay structure.

  • Provides analytical support for implementation and day-to-day activities related to all compensation programs through system administration, regular and ad hoc reporting.

  • Monitors compliance with all compensation-related federal and state regulations including minimum wage requirements and exemption status.

  • Prepares regular and ad hoc compensation reports and queries.

  • Supports training and communication requirements of various compensation programs.

  • Proactively identifies ways to improve and/or automate compensation processes.

  • Handles information and documents relevant to human resources with high degree of confidentially, urgency and attention to detail.

  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills

  • Strong ability to capture and organize data in a manner that allows for impactful analysis and insights

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels in a corporate environment

  • Excellent organizational and follow through skills

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years data and/or compensation analysis or other relevant experience; support of an HR function strongly preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Experience with SAP software preferred
