Description

Robert Half is working with a stable yet growing company who is looking to add a new Business Analyst to their team due to growth. This position will have some remote flexibility and room for growth. Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical-minded individual to fill the role of Business Analyst. This position will primarily focus on utilizing SQL and Tableau to extract, analyze, and visualize data to support various business functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in SQL and Tableau, combined with a base understanding of finance principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple databases and sources.

  • Utilize Tableau to create visually compelling and insightful dashboards and reports to communicate key findings and business performance metrics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable insights.

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing recommendations for process improvements and strategic decision-making.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of data-driven strategies to optimize business performance and achieve organizational goals.

  • Support ad-hoc analytical requests from stakeholders across various departments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.

  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and visualization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.

  • 0-3 years of experience in a business analyst or similar role, preferably in a finance-related environment.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.

  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools, including creating dashboards and reports.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Knowledge of finance principles and financial analysis techniques is a plus.
