JMT is seeking an Assistant CM/CEI Manager to be responsible for assisting with managing our Construction Management and Inspection business and providing construction management services in the assigned region.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for marketing and business development for transportation construction projects

  • Manages contracts, including invoicing and financial management

  • Responsible for project QA/QC in the assigned region.

  • Maintains and builds client relationships

  • Prepare technical and price proposals

  • Hires, trains, develops, and conducts performance reviews for staff

Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assists design disciplines with constructability questions/issues

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Strong computer literacy skills

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Practical construction management capabilities

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 10+ years of experience working in the CM/CI or engineering field

  • Knowledge of NCDOT Construction Inspection processes

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering (or BSCET or BSCM or closely related field)

  • Professional Engineering license in PA

  • Experience working with local clients

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office, construction field office or on a construction project site environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing, climbing and walking. Most locations provide an environment where lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Travel required.
