Summary:

The Alliance for Regenerative Rehabilitation Research & Training (AR3T) & The Discovery Center for Musculoskeletal Recovery at the Schoen Adams Research Institute is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to support the financial, administrative, and dissemination efforts for both centers. The incumbent will provide day-to-day administrative support, working closely with the AR3T Program Manager and Discovery Center for Musculoskeletal Recovery Coordinator and will provide administrative support to the research faculty and research team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to research and other faculty, laboratory leadership.

  • Process expense reimbursement requests, e-checks and purchase orders/invoices timely and accurately and maintain records as needed.

  • Prepare correspondence and written communications for approval or distribution as instructed.

  • Assist in managing the budgets of AR3T and other related grants.

  • Ensure the proper allocation of funds within each grant.

  • Assist Program Manager and Financial Specialist with budget reviews of subcontracts.

  • Assist with transferring expenses to appropriate funds.

  • Provide consistent updates regarding state of budgets.

  • Expense reports & reimbursements.

  • Provide administrative support to Discovery Center for Musculoskeletal Recovery & lab PI and team, including maintaining thorough and confidential records.

  • Serve as point of contact when needed for operational, administrative and programmatic issues for Discovery Center for Musculoskeletal Recovery and AR3T.

  • Provide administrative support to assist in the creation and success of new programming for the Discovery Center for Musculoskeletal Recovery.

  • Assist the AR3T Program Manager in completing the Annual NIH Progress Report.

  • Assisting the AR3T Program Manager with dissemination/marketing efforts.

  • Providing support for the annual Symposium including: logistics, marketing, & communications.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Two years prior office experience or equivalent education preferred.

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience, or a Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

Skills:

Required:

  • Moderate supervision with some self-direction performing moderately complex work.

  • Excellent written, verbal and electronic communications skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to interact with a diverse population.

  • Intermediate computer skills: Proficiency with MS Office products, ability to learn new software.

Preferred:

  • Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.

  • Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.

  • Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.

  • High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.

  • Attention to detail.
